More Houndstooth
A few more houndstooth things for you today, of the non-coat variety.
I’m smitten with this hat, and the attached boy-short hairstyle is adorably unisex. Unfortunately, it’s no-mod, which really disappoints me, as there aren’t any strong red shades available for the hair. However, if you’re not a redhead, there are lots of great blonde and brunette shades available via blue-box menu. The hat itself is also color- and pattern-changeable.
The skirt has great movement, and is a very flattering length, hitting above the knee without being scandalously › Continue reading
Footwear Expo: Specialty Shoes
Clock’s a-tickin’, folks, Footwear Expo ends tonight!
There are several shoes styles that defy easy categorization, like these two. Sure, technically, they’re flats and boots, but really, their unique function means they don’t quite fit in. The pointe shoes on the left include prim feet, allowing the ribbons to really form to the foot. The shiny rubber rainboots had me itching to find a nice rainy sim to splash around in.
The three shoes above also don’t fit nicely into standard categories, but then, normal isn’t really › Continue reading
Footwear Expo: Round-Toe Pumps
The Footwear Expo ends today — it’s your last chance to see so many talented virtual cobblers in one place!
I have a total weakness for round-toed pumps. The rounded toe reminds me of the fifties, when being graceful and ladylike was paramount. The heel, of course, brings sex and power and killer legs to the picture. Pictured here are seven of the styles available right now at the Footwear Expo — with a variety of different heel styles. fabrics, height, and trim, (and a bit of arbitrary categorization on my part), there’s likely a heel here that will make you drool. › Continue reading
Footwear Expo: Slingbacks
More shoes from the Footwear Expo, ending today: this time, slingbacks. I love slingbacks — they capture the power and sex of a pump, while the slingback strap adds a bit of daintiness and femininity. Here, you can see two more old-fashioned shoe shapes, with a more modern bi-color platform version.

Keys to my heart
Keys are hot right now. If you don’t believe me, ask Tiffany.
Key necklaces, lock necklaces. I was flipping through a fashion mag recently, and saw the Tiffany and Co. ad, which reminded me of all the key necklaces I have in SL, and I thought I’d show ‘em off. Of course, The Dark Mouse Locked Up necklace ties into the theme perfectly. I really enjoy the contrast of the chunky padlocks with the delicate chain.
So, today we’re looking at the materials and length. Where on the avatar does the key pendant fall on the chest? What is the chain like, or is it a string of leather? Is the key shiny or tarnished? What kind of embellishments – scrollwork, gems, etc — does each key have? Personally, I like them all. Moving from left to right, › Continue reading
